We launched the Taycan, Porsche’s first all-electric sports car, with great fanfare at the SFMOMA. Over 400 of the city’s most emphatic Porsche fans gathered for farm-to-table inspired bites and cocktails to get a glimpse of the car. Porsche describes the Taycan as “Soul Electrified” so that was the jumping off point for the design. We wanted to play off of the juxtaposition of a fancy sports car that is also environmentally friendly so we brought in warm woods, organic florals and Belgian-linen cloths, and contrasted them with neon LED lighting shown in bold graphics. A DJ accompanied by electronic drums and violin kept the energy up.
