Annie had one wish for her Hawaii wedding: flowers, flowers and more flowers. And flowers she got! The couple chose the iconic Haiku Mill for their ceremony. The Haiku Mill is an old sugar mill set in upcountry Maui - it’s a lush, tropical oasis away from the crowds of Maui’s beaches. We chose a sorbet color palette for the day - tones of blush, peach, guava, and soft yellow permeated through the whole event. The facade of the Mill was accented with flowers amongst its vines, adding a fresh pop of color to a normally verdant backdrop. After exchanging vows under a canopy of hanging orchid strands, the couple joined their guests under the massive mango tree for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. A vintage turquoise convertible transported them next door to a family friend’s property for the reception. There, guests walked pathway lined with pink petals through a tunnel of flowers that led to a glass tent set for dinner. Large flowering trees seemed to be coming out of the dinner tables. After dinner, guests entered a separate glass tent for dancing with LoveStoned. The focal point in the tent was the bar, centered around a large tree we built to mimic the bride’s favorite bar at the Yellowstone Club.
